Columbia Heights Historical Society
  • In 2001, a grass-roots movement in the City generated interest in a local historical society. The group formed a 501(c) (3) organization under State of Minnesota Law and met to collect oral histories and artifacts specifically related to Columbia Heights. Donations of artifacts, photos, and documents were solicited and housed at the Library. Dues were collected and used to cover the acquisition of archival boxes, picture folders, and other supplies. The Society is currently inactive, but the collection is available to be used for research purposes at the Library.
  • The Anoka County Historical Society (ACHS) is located in the City of Anoka and has an outstanding research collection for the County. Please see their website for more information. Anoka County Historical Society
